Avoiderdragon: The Dead Island series is confusing in terms of whether it should be liked or hated. The first game was actually pretty good despite its faults, and Dead Island Riptide was much of the same in a different setting. While were still waiting for the release of Dead Island 2, it seems like Deep Silver thought of releasing yet another game to fill the gap and get more audiences into the series. What came out of it is questionable though.

It's part of the same universe as zombie-infested open-world adventures Dead Island, expansion Riptide and the forthcoming Dead Island 2, but it's presented with a different perspective (third-person, not first) and with few of its predecessors' trademark facets, like loads of loot, handmade weapons and constant stat improvements.
